Monterey Bay Aquarium

Description: Vastly complex 95° x 180° hold open pair, 3 hour rated
Door frame and custom metal panels are attached to concrete walls. Hinges, closers, and electromagnetic door holders are concealed behind doors. One leaf swings over seismic joint. Special panel was fabricated for closer mounting over seismic joint. We worked closely with Rudolph & Sletten in coordinating opening layout. Walls and door pockets were saw cut to accommodate new door opening.
